Here in South Africa, the annual sardine migration known as the Sardine Run dominates the month of July. Massive sardine shoals journey up the coast and a number of the ocean’s top predators (including the cover star of this month’s calendar, the Zambezi shark) gather to feast on the silvery fish.

June means summertime for the northern hemisphere so this month’s sunbathing hippos are the perfect cover stars. Our calendar also features the dates and show times of our newest documentaries, which are due to be screened on Eden HD (UKTV’s factual channel) early this month. Don’t miss them!
