Warthog chases cheetahs away Jun 9 2008
The Earth-Touch crew witnessed an unusual encounter in the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, in South Africa, recently. They were filming a group of cheetahs resting in the bush, when a family of warthogs arrived on the scene and the female warthog proceeded to chase the cheetahs away.

Cheetahs (Acinonyx jubatus) are members of the cat family, but unique in the fact that they do not climb trees. They are the fastest animals on land, reaching speeds of up to 110km/h (68mph).

Cheetah looks for a meal Dec 6 2007
It is fairly unusual to see a single male cheetah in the wild, as males usually form small groups. But in the Earth-Touch clip, Lone cheetah on the hunt, filmed in Botswanas Okavango Delta, you can see a hungry-looking male watching a herd of impala from the vantage point of a termite mound.

Although the cheetah is well-known for being the fastest animal on four legs and can accelerate to about 70km/h (43mi/h) in three seconds and reach a maximum speed of about 100km/h (60mph), it cant keep this up for long.

It is winter and the sun is bathing the bush in an early-morning wash of light. We’re bumping along slowly in our Volkswagen Combi on a dirt road near Berg-en-Dal in the Kruger National Park, when we see a long-legged dog running briskly towards us.
