Warthog chases cheetahs away Jun 9 2008

The Earth-Touch crew witnessed an unusual encounter in the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, in South Africa, recently. They were filming a group of cheetahs resting in the bush, when a family of warthogs arrived on the scene and the female warthog proceeded to chase the cheetahs away.

Two bulls in the valley May 21 2008

Baboons feed on grass seeds May 15 2008

It’s late afternoon on the banks of the Black Umfolozi River in South Africa’s oldest game reserve, Hluhluwe-Imfolozi. In the autumn sunshine, a troop of chacma baboons (Papio cynocephalus ursinus) is feeding.

African wild dog pack on the move May 7 2008

It was a wet day in South Africa’s oldest game reserve, Hluhluwe-Imfolozi, and a zebra foal was taking shelter under its mother. Then the Earth-Touch crew saw a pack of African wild dogs (Lycaon pictus) moving fast across the river plain.

Wild dogs and buffalos meet at the river Apr 1 2008

Vulture activity in the Imfolozi River valley attracted the attention of the Earth-Touch crew, and they watched as a pack of African wild dogs followed a herd of African buffalos and a pair of rhinos to the river. A group of vultures bathed nearby.
