Flickr group: pic of the day – keel-billed toucan Apr 9 2008
Keel-billed toucans (Ramphastos sulfuratus) are also known as a sulfur-breasted toucan and rainbow-billed toucan. They are found exclusively in Central and South America.
This photo was taken by our Earth-Touch Flickr group member ChipM2008, using a Nikon D200, in Costa Rica.
It is our Earth-Touch Flickr group “picture of the day”.
ChipM2008 said: “I spent a few days in the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, which is in the mountains north of San Jose, Costa Rica. They have an enclosure there that houses birds rescued from illegal bird exporters. Since these birds are too tame to be released successfully in the wild, they are kept there for educational purposes.”

Stunning pic! Wish you put down the settings used. Macro lense? Seem to have a flash device also.
