Celebrating World Animal Day 2011

4 Oct

World Animal Day is being celebrated around the globe this October 4th (to see how, click here). The event kicked off in 1931 with a pretty admirable mission:

  • To celebrate animal life in all its forms
  • To celebrate humankind’s relationship with the animal kingdom
  • To acknowledge the diverse roles that animals play in our lives – from being our companions, supporting and helping us, to bringing a sense of wonder into our lives
  • To acknowledge and be thankful for the way in which animals enrich our lives

Here at Earth-Touch, celebrating the wonder and diversity of our natural world is what we do every day. But if you’re stuck in the rat race (and can’t get involved directly), you can still experience nature’s beauty this World Animal Day – we’ve got a pretty packed archive of amazing wildlife videos for you to enjoy. Here’s a little gem to get you started. Happy World Animal Day!
