Fridays are all about winding down and making weekend plans so we never post anything too serious on these most cheerful days of the working week. Instead, we bring you the week’s most visually inspiring photos from our Flickr group.
1. OH Baby !! by Picture Taker 2

Just minutes old, this Thomson's gazelle calf is laying in grass still heavy with the morning dew. At this time the calf had not yet stood up or taken its first step. How could you not love a face like this? Be sure to look at the shot large. A real SWEET FACE if there ever was one. On the plains of the Masai Mara, Kenya.

Taken on Britannica heights just as the rain came down, in big, fat drops! This was one of three birds, all "duet-ing" together. www.globalbirdtrekkers.org

Fuzzy caterpillar on the underside of a black-eyed susan. I believe this is a Virginian tiger moth caterpillar. Saw two of them in separate locations on the day this photo was taken.

We saw these baby birds outside of our house while staying at the beach. They were so hungry ): But don't worry. We didn't touch them because we knew the mom wouldn't come back if we did. Later in the week we saw the mommy sitting on them (: haha. Birdies are so cute.

An older but never posted picture of one of the tiger cubs born here at the St. Louis Zoo. It was one of five. What a great and wonderful prize to have received.

Despite a bit of snow in certain parts of South Africa recently, we can be thankful we don't live in Antarctica where the lowest recorded temperature is -89.2 degrees celsius!
